HAPPY ANNIVERSARY?

Can you believe it? We have been married for 30 years today. What are we doing for our anniversary this year? Well, as usual, we kind of forgot about it. It is a Sunday though. Milt spoke in church today. He also has some responsibility for the Maplewood Ward Elder's Quorum Presidency, and has invited them to our home for dinner tonight. When I remembered that it is our anniversary and reminded him, he told me that he has arranged to have dinner brought in. He had invited them to bring salad and dessert. I must admit that it is looking like it will be one of the better celebrations we have had on our anniversary.

Like the time when we were at a ward picnic. Milt and Brian left early so that Brian could buy a parrot at the Bird Show. A day or so later, I realized that we had gotten a pet for our anniversary.

Or the time when several days (or weeks) had gone by before we realized that we had missed our anniversary.

Even though we don't always remember to celebrate on the right day, we are committed to each other and love each other even after all these years.

  3. You could put it in the calendar, you know. :) Dad could even put an automatic reminder on his calendar on the computer...

  4. My parents are just 2 years behind you! They almost forgot theirs the year I was born...they were packing and had a 2 day old baby and suddenly remembered, so they told each other "Happy Anniversary" and that's all!
